CEBU -- A fire razed ten residential houses in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City early Thursday.

Talisay City Fire Officer 3 Omar Segovia said they received the alarm at 1:17 a.m. The fire was put out after two hours, at 3:10 a.m.

Segovia said most of the owners of the destroyed houses, which were made of light materials, are vendors of the old Tabunok public market.

Segovia said there were no recorded casualties or injuries.

Some residents in the fire-hit area said the fire allegedly started at the house of Lavilla Lopez.

The city fire bureau, however, said they are yet to call Lopez and other witnesses.

As of this posting, the cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation. (NMP/Sunnex)
