LIGHT rains will prevail over the eastern section of Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday due to the northeast monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have fair weather to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

It added that Mindanao will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Pagasa said moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast to north will prevail over the eastern sections of southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate.

As of its 5 a.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said no tropical cyclone is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next three days. (Sunnex)
