MANILA (Updated) -- The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Saturday suspended the entire fleet of GV Florida Bus Transport following a fatal accident in the Mountain Province that killed 14 people, including comedian Arvin "Tado" Jimenez.

The suspension, which covers 238 bus units of GV Florida, was received by representatives of the bus firm on Saturday, radio report said.

Eugene Maribao, process server of LTFRB legal division, served the orders at the bus terminals of GV Florida in Manila and Quezon City.

Mountain Province Cable Tours owned the license number TXT-872 found on the ill-fated passenger bus. It was transferred on GV Florida bus without an authority from the LTFRB, the agency said.

"No application for Approval of Sale and Transfer has been filed by Norberto M. Cue, Sr. in favor of GV Florida. In view of this, there is no authority for the GV Florida to operate the said bus under its name," the LTFRB was quoted as saying in a television report.

The ill-fated bus carrying more than 40 passengers plunged off a 1,600-foot ravine in Sitio Pagang, Barangay Talubin in Bontoc, Mountain Province Friday morning.

Aside from Jimenez, a Canadian man and a Dutch woman were among the 14 people killed. At least 31 people were hurt. (Sunnex)
