MANILA -- Two days before he turns 54, President Benigno Aquino III on Thursday renewed his driver's license at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Tayuman, Manila without getting any special treatment.
According to Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Undersecretary Renato Marfil, one of the officials who accompanied the President at LTO, the Chief Executive waited for his turn for about 37 minutes before getting his driver's license renewed.
Malacanang said that many applicants were surprised to see the President standing and waiting for his turn, while others greeted him.
Some even had photos taken with him.
Aside from Marfil, Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya also accompanied the President. (SDR/Sunnex)
