Magnitude 4.1 quake rocks Oriental Mindoro

A MAGNITUDE 4.1 earthquake jolted the province of Oriental Mindoro at 11:47 a.m. Wednesday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicenter of the quake was located at 65 kilometers (km) northeast of Naujan.

The tremor, which is tectonic in origin, has a depth of 19 km.

Intensity IV was felt in Gasan, Marinduque; intensity III in Lipa, Batangas; and intensity II in Batangas City; San Pablo, Laguna; and Lucban, Quezon.

Phivolcs said there were no reported damages and expected aftershocks. (Sunnex)
