MANILA -- The Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan) is affecting Luzon and Visayas which can cause isolated rain said state weather forecasters said on Sunday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light rain while Luzon and the rest of Visayas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rain.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the northeast to north over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough,” Pagasa said.

According to Pagasa, as of now, there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). However, state weather forecasters are still monitoring a new low pressure area which may enter PAR either Wednesday or Thursday. (Sunnex)
