2nd I-Bag'iw Mountain Bike Crossroad Challenge set

LOCAL bikers are expected to troop to the Summer Capital as Baguio City National High School class of 1989, in partnership with the city, holds the 2nd I-Bag'iw Mountain Bike Crossroad Challenge on August 31.

Hundreds of local biking enthusiasts, including from neighboring provinces, are expected to participate in the bike race event part of the Summer Capital's month-long 105th charter celebration.

Six race groups will be opened for the one-day event, including age categories of 18 years old and below, 19-34 years old, 35-49 years old, 50 years old and above, ladies open category, and fun riders.


Organizers said registration fees of P350 per participant will be collected, inclusive of dri-fit shirt, race bib and snacks, while the on-site registration fee of P450 will be inclusive of race bib and snacks only.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three individual winners plus cash in each category, while medals will be awarded to fourth to 10th finishers in each category.

Organizers said the team with the most number of members landing in the top 10 will be declared the overall champion for the race.

All finishers will receive certificates as fun riders are considered non-competing riders.

A no helmet, no ride rule will be applied during the race day. Only mountain bikes with 1.95 wheel limit will be used with all participants required to wear proper gear and outfit.
