ABK holds 1st fun run activity

RUNNING enthusiasts from Baguio City and Benguet will once again vie for top honors as the Association of Barangay Kagawads Inc. host the 1st ABK Fun Run to gun start at Lake Drive in Burnham Park this Sunday June 15.

In partnership with the City Government of Baguio, the running event aims to generate funds for the benefit of medical and dental missions organized by ABK.

Four race categories will be competed to test foot racers namely 3K, 5K, 10K, and the 16-kilometer with registration fees amounting to P350, P400, P450, and P500 accordingly.


All registrations fees will include singlets, race bibs, certificates, including finisher's medals and cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers in each race category.

The foot race fires off at the Burnham Park lake drive en route to Kisad Road, straight towards BGH flyover, going down to Kennon Road, entering Military Cut-off, towards Loakan Road and back.

According to organizers, the foot race will officially start at 5 in the morning.

Interested participants may still visit their designated registration site at the Malcolm Square-Peoples Park located in Lower Session Road which will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. this Saturday.

Organizers said onsite registrations will be entertained until 4 a.m. of Sunday in all categories before the scheduled race starts.
