Eustaquio tests Watanabe in One FC

TEAM Lakay’s Geje Eustaquio is set to return to the One Fighting Championship cage anew when Asia’s largest mixed martial arts promotion at the state-of-the-art Mata Elang International Stadium (MEIS) in Jakarta, Indonesia, on June 14.

Eustaquio will square off against Japanese fighter Kentaro Watanebe in the event dubbed ‘Era of Champions’ topbilled by Indonesian stalwarts Yohan Mulia Legowo and Zuli Silawanto.

“Every time I fight I’m afraid not to my opponent but by simply thinking of the training… here we go fellas hard work starts by tomorrow… see you all,” Eustaquio said in his Facebook account as he starts the tough and rigid training for his next bout.


With the One FC Flyweight World Championship still up for grabs, Eustaquio is looking to stake his claim on a title shot with an impressive victory.

He confidently dispatched fellow Filipino Eugene Toquero in his last outing.

Kentaro Watanabe is a Japanese flyweight who will also be looking to make a mark in One FC’s flyweight division.

Watanabe has come through the ranks of the Shooto organization with his signature lightning quick striking style making him a favorite among Japanese mixed martial arts fans and is now looking forward to showcase his exciting style of fighting to the millions of One FC fans watching across the world.

"The flyweight bout between Geje Eustaquio and Kentaro Watanabe also pits two of the most electrifying flyweights in the world and ONE FC fans watching all over the world are in for an unforgettable night of explosive world-class mixed martial arts action,” said One FC CEO Victor Cui.

Legowo and Silawanto will represent the host country when they face dangerous opponents in Malaysia’s Ev Ting and Iran’s Barbod respectively in the main event bouts of the night.
