IMAGINE an athlete in communion with the environment, and you’ll see a beautiful poetry in smooth motion. Whether by chance or by choice, you find yourself striding to exercise and the experience overwhelming your soul and relish whatever exercise you are in.

Having fun and getting the drift, soon you’ll discover it is innate in your soul, exercising is not mere action, it is discovering.

Adventurism resides in every individual; the curiosity of looking for what lies ahead is always a guess, but once you get the knowledge of what exercising is then it becomes more exciting, more life, more color, more beauty and splendour. It may sound banal but later on as you move on will let you feel free of those unhealthy feelings, a couch potato always wished should not be.


Exercise is essential to every individual’s health. The true essence of exercise as derived from the discovery of practices, like martial arts and allied sports, practically gave cause to health consciousness. The early practitioners especially of martial arts like Funakoshi, Kano, and others, took to themselves to practice martial arts as one with their environment.

Like poetry itself, early practitioners mindfully learned ‘seiryoku zenyo’, the essence of the art, not only for physical development but for intellectual training and moral education which was applied in their daily living.

Practice of martial arts also perpetuates the spirit of martial artists were virtues are also emphasized.

Besides the teachings of early ‘Guru’s and Sensei’s’, exercise today became more likely a fad due to the deterioration of society’s morals that results in a failure to emphasize the virtues of exercise.

However, those who exercise are not much different from other people in this regard, instead they criticize others saying they don’t see anything special about them. This is a fact because those who suffer failure will always contravene what is good in exercise.

On the other hand, those who are successful in their exercise learns to appreciate others and come to appreciate the beauty of their own movements and practices, which give them the will to cultivate a refined taste which will help them enter another realm of exercise beyond the practical.

Exercise is not only to gain, so we must not overlook the need to develop in every area of development. In short, the true value of exercise is revealed when one study it from every aspect; cultivation of moral character, training of the intellect, and applying the theory of exercise in the spectrum of life to master a method for tackling things on your own. Then will surely understand the benefits exercise brings to society.
