Anton bags AAP top driver plum-A A +A

FINISHING on top of every race, Carlos Anton once again took the most coveted top driver of the year in the recently concluded Automobile Association of the Philippines annual awards night at the Manila International Auto Show.
The Castrol -Yokohama Champion race car driver Anton received the top driver plum for the last six years for hill climb racing before deciding to go back to circuit racing.
Ethanworx-Woks Bell Japan was instrumental in his return to the circuit who piloted their car for Division 1 in the Philippine Touring Car Championship.
“I feel so blessed by God to receive this award from the AAP. It has been 6 years since I raced in touring cars and it’s good to know we are still competitive,” Anton said after receiving the award.
Anton dominated the series snatching pole in every qualifying and won a total of 8 of the 12 races during the season.
The Baguio based restaurateur is the country’s most diverse and talented driver of his generation winning titles in eight different disciplines over the last 25 years of his career that include Slalom, Karting, Autocross, Rallycross, Touring Cars, Time Attack, Formula Cars, and Hillclimb.
Anton is backed by Castrol, Yokohama, Works Bell brakes, Mark Young Racing, Ethanworx, View Park Hotel, Hornitex, Autoshack and Special Stage.
Founded in 1931, the AAP is the oldest is the oldest auto club in the archipelago which is a non-stock, non-profit organization committed to the general welfare motorists in the Philippines.
