Baguio rider scores back to back win-A A +A

THE Summer Capital's promising young rider Samuel Wayet once again proved why he is the current toast of motocross in the city today by winning back to back races during the weekend.
Wayet topped the junior 50 cc event in the National Motocross Pro Series during the Tobacco Festival in Candon City in Ilocos Sur.
The event, sanctioned by the National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association, coincides with the Tobacco Festival of Candon City joined by pro riders from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Not resting on his laurels, the eight year old whiz kid o finished atop the podium in the San Fernando City National Motocross Competition March 24.
Wayet edged a rider from Ilocos Norte and a rider from Candon to bring home the first place finish in the Candon race as Baguio's Rafel Cuilan finished fourth while another rider from Pangasinan completed the top five.
Baguio's Mia Villalon meanwhile came home with a second place finish in the 65 cc ladies category while Ben Pudlao was fourth in the Executive A Category (40 yrs old above) Towak Amdengan took home the 3rd place in the Open Underbone Category.
In the San Fernando race, Wayet once again edged the same Ilocos Norte rider LJ Pagdilao while La Union's Ezra Rivera finished third.
Another Baguio rider, Kurt Amdengan won the top honors in the Open Underbone category with Towak Amdengan salvaging second place.
Other Baguio riders who closed out the race with a podium finish are Andrew Dulay who came in third in the Open Enduro Category while Ben Pudlao snatched 3rd in the Veterans category and finished fourth in the Executive A Category.
Villalon also went home with a trophy after a decent fifth place finish in the junior 65 cc category.
