Run for Life 2 to fund medical missions

RUNNERS from all over the city including enthusiasts from nearby places are expected to participate in this year’s “Run for Life 2” hosted by the Baguio City Emergency Medical Service (BCEMS) at the Burnham Park, Lake Drive which fires off April 6.

Celebrating its 17th year of service, BCEMS spearheads a fund raising running event to back its medical and dental mission services this coming May in Tabaan Sur, Tuba, Benguet and Irisan, Baguio City.

Some 300 running participants are projected to join the event headed by Dr. John Tinoyan organized by the Cool City Running Team.


There will be three different running categories namely 18K, 9K, and 3K with registration fees of P500, P400, P300 accordingly.

Organizers said all registration fees are inclusive of race shirts, race bibs, race map, certificates, and a light snack.

Top three finishers for every category will be given cash prize and medals, while the top 50 race finishers for the 18K category will all receive a finisher’s medal.

Registration sites will be located at BCEMS Office beside Baguio City Fire Station, Lagalag Store in Casa Vallejo, or look for Ms. Che Alberto in Laperal Building in Session Road.

Partnering sponsors for the event are Brent International School Baguio, Sunshine Supermarket, Porta Vaga Mall, Eurotel Baguio, and the Office of the Congressman.
