Generally, the event was a total success. We have increasing number of participants which means that many are becoming interested in the sport. We have observed too that lots of grappling techniques were executed during the event. It just shows that the sport is becoming more developed and practiced these days.

The participants were of different ages starting at 8 years old. We want to encourage the parents to let their kids enrol in such sports.

Starting to learn and train at a young age is better than starting at the latter stage in one’s life. The development of the body parts goes with the mastery of the body with the moves and techniques. It takes a long time for the body to get adapted and it’s better to start them young to really hone the skills and knowledge, and this applies to every sport.

But for the older ages, of course it’s not yet late to start too. For as long as you are willing to learn, the human body has the ability to adapt to whatever changes that it needs, especially if you are really interested and you really want it.

For those interested to enrol in this kind of sport and of Mixed Martial Arts, you can enrol in any of the gyms which participated in the said event.

For the kids, enrolment for the summer classes is ongoing. Classes will start by the last week of March as school classes will end.
Classes for kids are strictly supervised by adults and we require parental consent and guidance.

For the ones already practicing the sport and are interested to compete; train hard, practice well and we’ll see you again on the 16th Team Lakay Grappler’s Cup on April.
