LAGAWE, Ifugao -- Athletes who will be representing the province in the upcoming 2014 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) in Benguet province next month have started their in-house-training January 20.

The 428 athletes consisting of 174 elementary and 254 secondary players were chosen during the 2013 Provincial Athletic Meet held in Lagawe on December 9-12.

According to the Provincial Sports Coordinating Office, the training will last for 15 days with a total budget of more than P1.9-million.

This is aimed to improve the over-all CARAA standing of Ifugao.

The PSCO said the province is sending a 560-strong delegation for the regional meet from February 6-12. (MBL/PIA-Ifugao)
