WITH the expected influx of participants in the regional autonomy summit, the Baguio City government has lifted the number coding scheme April 29 to May 2.

This was announced by lawyer Raffy Tallocoy, secretary to the mayor, on behalf of Mayor Mauricio Domogan during Monday’s flag raising program. He said the lifting of the number coding scheme will allow participants easy access to the summit’s venue at the Baguio City National High School.

More than a thousand participants are expected to attend the regional autonomy summit today to finally discuss issues on the proposed autonomy organic act which will eventually be presented to Cordillera legislators.

Aside from the autonomy summit, the City Government has also been looking forward to providing easy access to those participating in the Labor Day Jobs Fair on May 1 and 2.

The lifting of the number coding scheme is also aimed to accommodate tourists taking the opportunity of spending Labor Day with their families in the city.

The City Government has been lifting the number coding during tourism peak seasons and during times when there are large gatherings and conventions in the city to give visitors the leeway to roam various tourism destinations in the city.
