MANOR Hotel at Camp John Hay launched on Sunday a week of activities to provide entertainment to residents and tourists alike this Holy Week.

Manor Hotel’s executive assistant to the general manager Wilma Memorial said the event was created as a one-stop vacation for guests. The event started with a Palm Sunday mass at the 19th Forest Lodge.

An Easter Fun Land featuring the Butterfly Sanctuary, Kiddie Park, and egg painting zone and Bunny World is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 13 to 19 at the Manor Garden.

Registration for adults is pegged at P100 and P50 for children. Guests will also experience summer activities including ice cream and candy stations, kite flying for P120, and horse carriage ride for P50 per head.
“The event was especially made for kids that’s why most of our activities are for them,” Memorial added.

Manor Hotel will also feature different night performances.

Carlos and Donna and Los Amigos performed on April 13; Teddy Liberato and Fusion Band, April 14 to 15; Holly Angel Paraiso and On Call band, April 16 to 17; The Magicians Foundation, Inc., April 18; Serenity Band, Ingrid Payaket and John Glenn Gaerlan, April 19; and another performance from Carlos and Donna and Los Amigos on April 20. The performances start at 5 p.m. lasting until midnight at the Manor’s Piano Bar.

Holy Week will not be complete without the hotel’s spiritual offerings.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, all guests are invited to the Visita Iglesia to the St. Joseph Worker Parish Church, Our Lady of Atonement Cathedral, Pink Sisters, Casiclaco Recoletos, St. Vincent, St. John Basco and Our Lady of Lourdes. On Good Friday, a Stations of the Cross will be held at 1 p.m. followed by the Seven Last Words, Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at Sacred Heart Community Center, Military Cut-off, Baguio.

Easter mass will be on April 20 at 6 a.m. at 19th Forest Lodge followed by the traditional Easter Egg Hunt from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Manor Garden.

“Our general manager Ramon Cabrera started this annual event in 2005 for the fun and entertainment of our guests so there’s no need for them to go out. We’re glad to be on our 9th year now,” Memorial said.

Le Monet Hotel has also lined up activities designed for children and guests.

According to Le Monet marketing manager Charmaine Joy de Guzman, the two-day Holy Week special will be held on April 19 and 20 at the hotel’s garden.
