MPSPC opens search for prexy

BONTOC, Mountain Province -- The Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) is now accepting applications for the College presidency.

MPSPC Officer-in-Charge Dr. Josephine Ngodcho said the Board of Trustees in its March 5 meeting approved the search and acceptance of applications for the highest position of the lone state college in the province.

Ngodcho said interested applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications: must not be less than 35 years old and not more than 61 years old at the time of application; must be natural-born Filipino citizen; must be holder of an earned relevant doctor’s degree; must have proven track record as an administrator in any educational or education related institution, such as president, vice president, campus administrator/director, dean, department chair and similar positions for a least a period of five years, and must not have been convicted of any administrative offense or of any crime involving moral turpitude.


Applicants are required to submit one set of original and six certified photocopies of the following documents directly to the College’s Search Committee for the Presidency (SCP): formal application letter addressed to Patricia Licuanan, Chairperson, Commission on Higher Education (Ched), 4th Floor HEDC Building, Carlos P. Garcia Avenue, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City; duly accomplished CSC Form 212 made under oath; detailed curriculum vitae (CV); certified true copy of documents in support of the data stated in the CV and applicant’s proposed Vision, Mission and Development goals for the College.

Applicants must also submit original copies of certificates/clearances from the following agencies, obtained not more than three months from the date of filing of the application, indicating applicant has no finding of guilt/conviction in any administrative and or criminal case: Sandigan, Ombudsman, CSC, National Bureau of Investigation and Institution/Organization where the applicant is presently employed; NSO-authenticated Birth Certificate; Medical Certificate of Physical Fitness issued by the physician from DOH-accredited health institution and result of neuro-psychiatric examination conducted by the physician from a DOH-accredited health institution.

Applications may also be sent to the Search Committee, Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, Bontoc, Mountain Province. Attention: Ms. Liberty Tudlong, MPSPC SCP Secretariat.

Deadline for submission of application documents is on April 2, 2014 at 5 p.m.

The MPSPC presidency became vacant with the untimely demise of Dr. Eufemia Lamen in December 2 last year in a vehicular accident. Lamen was barely eight months into her term when she died. (Andrew Doga-ong)
