UNIVERSITY of San Agustin in Iloilo City will host this year’s UniGames on October 20 to 28 as confirmed by UniGames president Roger Banzuela.

USA came to the rescue after Foundation University of Dumaguete City withdrew their hosting rights for lack of billeting and playing venues and non-cooperation of several Dumaguete-based schools.
Banzuela said they have also invited Arellano University, Philippine Normal University, Wesleyan University of Nueva Ecija, St. Joseph College of Bulacan, San Pedro College of Davao, and Philippine State College of Aeronautics of Pasay City.
Among the Negros Occidental-based schools expected to see action are the University of St. La Salle, West Negros University, Riverside College, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, VMA Global College, and Central Philippine State University.

The athletes will play in 13 events, including athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, karatedo, lawn tennis, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball and beach volleyball. (HGD)
