Estaniel off to Malaysia for Fifa instructor course

BACOLOD City-based Fifa official Dennis Estaniel is flying today to Malaysia for the Fifa-sanctioned Futuro Referee Instructors’ Course from August 13 to 18.

Estaniel, a principal at the Montevista Elementary School, is also an Asian Football Confederation regional referees technical instructor, a Philippine Football Federation (PFF) instructor and referees assessor, and an Asean Football Federation (AFF) assessor.

His last Fifa assignment abroad was on October 30 to November 5 in the AFF Assessor Course held in Bangkok, Thailand. He also served as referee assessor in the AFF Women’s Championship last September 9 to 23, 2013 in Myanmar.


Another Negrense Jeffrey Velez is currently in Brunei after being appointed as Fifa Assistant Referee to the Bolkiah Cup in Brunei from August 9 to 23.

Velez, who is a PFF referee, is likewise a MAPEH instructor at Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School in Talisay City. (HGD)
