Don Bosco, Trinity share lead in DFL U11 division

DON Bosco Technical Institute shared the lead with Trinity Christian School as both blanked their opponents on Sunday in the Under 11 division of the ongoing Dynamic Football League 2nd Conference at Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.

The Bosconians from Victorias City showed no sign of travel weariness as they scored their second win, a four-nil dominance of Montevista ES (1-1 draw-loss card) behind two goals of Paul Justine Juen (2', 18') and Jose Maria Belandres (22', 23').

TCS also demolished University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), eight-nil as Syreal Xander Magbanua drove in four goals (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th minutes) as Dave Celis (37'), Frank Labayen (39'), King James Montano (25') and Ronan Christian Treyes (27') contributed to the onslaught.


Moises Padilla ES stunned University of St. La Salle-Integrated School (USLS-IS), 3-2 on March Ken Guevarra's goals in the 21st and 29th minutes as Bryle Cusay has one in the 31st minute. USLS got its point from Robbie Emmanuel Tolosa in the 19th minute and Moises Padilla’s own goal courtesy of Emelio Catague in the 9th minute.

St. John’s Institute improved its record to a win and a draw after surviving Bata ES-II, 5-3 on Joshua Anthony Yee’s and Benjamin Dorris’ goals.

In the Under 13 division, Cadiz City West ES and UNO-R share the top spot in Group A scoring impressive performances. The Cadiznons gave Andres Bonifacio ES-II its back-to-back loss, 8-1 behind Mark Sedurifa's seven goals in the 6th, 10th, 16th, 20th, 35th, 41st and 45th minutes.

Teammate Christopher Javier added one in the 26th minute before Ronjo Maligid nailed ABES’ lone goal.

UNO-R, meanwhile, defeated St. Scholastica’s Academy, 6-2 on goals of Mark Gabriel Cantos (26', 45'), Rowel Hautea, Jr. (14', 36'), and John Michael Hugo (31', 39'). Jones Liam (18') and Jeramee Fuentespina (37') were the only scorers from St.Scho.
Organized by the DFL headed by Ricky Yanson, the tournament aims at providing young players the opportunity to develop their skills well as create awareness of the sports.

Games resume on Saturday, August 9.
