ARCHITECT Christian Yu managed his Kami Mga Huben (KMH)-Boysen Painters to stay on top of the 10-team 2014 Scoop-Bacolod Non-Rated Trio Bowlfest at Negros Super Lanes (NSL) at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City after Thursday's schedule.
KMH-Boysen has accumulated 2,880 pinfalls after rolling 954 on lines of 307, 314, and 333.
Team captain Richard Salvo, Otoy Jardio, Essho Garcia, Odong Paran, Joval Damasco, and Rockie Elegado are, however, unsure how their leadership will last as Bago City is just seven pins behind with a total 2,873.
Skipper Ric Abellar and the descendants of Gen. Juan Araneta scored as 994 (340, 328, 326) besting Silverado of Cecil Silverio down to third with 2,835 after hitting a 919 on lines of 295, 300, 324.
ASSFBI, managed by Edgar del Rosario, is inching its way up to the elite bunch with 2,829 barely six pins away from Silverado.
Other trio squads inching to grasp a top spot are LDC - 2,758; HTL - 2,714; OMJB - 2,694; 69Ners - 2,673; Scoop/NDB Bowling Stones - 2,632; and Grupo Retirado - 2,526.
League coordinator James Toga said that only the top three teams with the highest accumulated score after the eight-round elimination series will advance for a shot at the title in the up-the-ladder final system.
The top 10 bowlers who will dispute the master bowler title will be known after five rounds based on their average per game.
Supporting the event are Bacolod City Councilors Carlos Jose Lopez and Caesar Distrito, barangay captain Rosinie Distrito of Singcang-Airport, NSL, and media partners Negros Daily Bulletin, Watchmen Daily Journal, and Sun.Star Bacolod.
Games resume tonight, July 29, starting at 6:30 p.m. (HGD)
