BACOLOD’S pride Juren “Turbo” Labordo (12-1 win, 8 KOs) aims to further establish his name in Philippine boxing when he steps up the ring in the co-main event of the ALA Promotion’s Cobra Energy Drink Tunay na Lakas Boxing on July 26, Saturday at the Island City Mall in Tagbilaran City,

Labordo, who just came off a first-round KO victory last May will lead Bacolod-based fighters James Paul Talaman and Rafael Sueno, as he takes on Fernando Ocon of Cebu City in a 10-round clash in the 115 pounds.

The Pahanocoy-native weighing 115 pounds will box in a 10-round fight hoping to avenge his lone defeat against Jaymart Toyco last December in Negros Oriental.

Talaman will face Jovane Abejero of Talibon, Bohol in a four-round battle at 130 pounds while Sueno goes up against Ryan Canillas of Toledo City in another four-round clash at 108 pounds in the scheduled undercard.

Main event will feature Jimmy “Popeye” Paypa (15-2 win-loss, 5 KOs) of Lanao del Sur against Gadwin Tubigon of Dipolog City in a 10-round fight in 124 pounds.

Other undercard bouts are Mark Magsayo of Tagbilaran City facing Tata Fontanilla of General Santos City in six-round battle at 128 pounds; Peter Apolinar of Manila taking on Jamjam Ungon of Bantayan, Cebu in another four-round clash at 122 pounds; and Vic Casido of Dumaguete City to exchange shots against Albert Muring of Bohol in a four-round match at 122 pounds.

Meanwhile, Bacolod City's undefeated champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania and Bago City-born “King” Arthur Villanueva are also set to take another chapter of their career as they see action for the “Pinoy Pride 27: Duel in Dubai” on August 29 at the Dubai International Convention Center.

Servania (24-0, 10 KOs), the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-continental super bantamweight champion and WBO Asia Pacific “Fighter of the Year” will be defending his belt against former two-time world title challenger Jose “Matador” Cabrera (22-4, 10 KOs) of Mexico in the main event.

WBO International super flyweight titlist Villanueva (25-0, 14KOs) will clash against Nicaraguan Henry “El Crespo” Maldonado (18-3, 13KOs) for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) International junior bantamweight title.
