THE family, friends and colleagues in the badminton community in Negros Occidental of former St. John’s Institute mentor Toni Russel Magapan Casipe are calling for justice after he was found dead last week at the annex building grounds of Filamer Christian University (FCU) in Roxas City, Capiz.

Reports over Bombo Radyo Roxas said that based on the investigation by Roxas City police, the 28-year-old Casipe has wounds in his forehead and other parts of his body. His legs were tied with a nylon cord.

The report added that Supt. Julio Gustilo, police chief of Roxas City, believed that there was foul play in Casipe’s death as the incident was reported to the authorities already an hour he was found.

The police has placed under its custody four FCU security officers considered as primary suspects. Guards Rogen Borbon, Wilbert Openiano, Hubert Villaluz and Henry Brillo, all of the Golden Eye Security Agency are assigned at the university’s annex building.

While the university has left to the authorities the conduct of investigation, FCU will do its own internal inquiry to determine the liabilities of the security agency where the alleged suspects are employed, FCU President Domingo Diel Jr. told Bombo Rady Roxas.

The FCU management has assured the Casipe family of assistance.

Before Casipe's enrollment as ECE student of FCU, the former badminton mentor studied in different colleges and universities in Bacolod City. (HGD)
