SHARP-Basketball Unified Sports (BUS) Group and MF Computer Solutions will dispute the Pueblo Rosario Athletic Club class B title on Saturday at Eroreco Subdivision in Bacolod City.

Commissioner Hernani Castor confirmed the championship between the two after last Wednesday's crossover semifinals where BUS Group beat Prime Distribution, 95-89 and MF Computer Solutions stopped host Stallions Alumni.

The Huskies used as 7-0 run to even the score at 69-all at the end of third quarter against a younger Prime squad. It was a classic see-saw battle that ensued since the opening quarter as both maximized its bench supporting cast.

It was tied at 84-all with two minutes left as Sharp's Kokoy Fuentebella and Bert Celis missed four free throws and Ariel Tornilla failed to convert a layup. The Distributors got the upperhand 86-84 with 1:45 remaining.

Tornilla evened the score from the charity line and teammate Garry Garcia split his free throws, 87-86. Tornilla hit on a contested lay up and Garcia followed up a miss by Bandoy Aliermo for a 91-86 lead.

Prime failed from the arc twice including their putbacks and Rex Bayer made them pay from the 15-foot line, 93-86 with 9.5 ticks left. An uncontested triple by Prime which banked the board made it 93-89 but Garcia sealed the game from the stripe for the final count.

Stallions Alumni which finished number one in bracket B failed to use its home advantage as MF Computer Solutions, number 2 in bracket A, put the clamps on the hosts' hot hands for the upset. (HGD)
