NEGRENSE world boxing champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes like other boxing enthusiasts is also eager to see the Pacquiao vs Mayweather ultimate fight in the near future.

However, he admitted, "My heart is for Pacquiao but in my mind it's Mayweather," said the Murcia native Nietes, who won against Mexico’s Moises Fuentes during their rematch in the main event of "Pinoy Pride XXV" in May 10.

He described Pacquiao as a powerful fighter having the speed, and a very tough opponent.

Mayweather, he said, is a very clever fighter and "Pacuqiao may have a hard time against Mayweather."

Nietes won after scoring a technical knockout in the ninth round to retain his WBO light flyweight title and added the RING junior flyweight lineal championship among his accomplishments.

With the win, Ahas improved his record to 33 wins, 1 loss, and 4 draws.

Nietes said that his next fight would be in October this year against a still unknown opponent. (TDE)
