Mediamen compete in bowling today

SOME 10 different media outlets in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental will participate in the Negros Press Club “Inter-media Fellowship Bowling Tournament” today starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Super Bowling Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Paricipating teams are NPC officers, NPC Past Presidents, Negros Daily Bulletin/Scoop-Bacolod, The Visayan Daily Star, Sun.Star Bacolod, Watchmen Daily Journal, Panay News GMA TV-10, ABS-CBN, Bombo Radyo Bacolod, DYHB, DYEZ, Radyo Veritas, RPN-DYKB, and Kapisanan Ng Mga Broadcaster Sa Pilipinas.

A total of P20,000 worth of gift certificates are at stake for the top four team winners and individual record holders of highest pinning, single and triple in the men and women’s division. Highest team single and triple record markers will likewide be awarded.


The champion will receive P6,000; first runner-up, P 4,000; second and third runners-up, P3,000 and P2,000 each.

Winners of individual highest pinning, single and triple in the men and women’s category will receive P 200 each while the team single and triple markers is good for P500 apiece.

Top bowler in two categories who posted the highest score in three games will also be awarded.

The championship trophy is donated by Bacolod City Vice Mayor Greg Gasataya.

The tournament is made possible through the support of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, Vallacar Transi, Inc. (Ceres), Coca-Cola Bottlers Phils., and Jollibee Foods Corporation. (HGD)
