AFTER a morale-boosting tie with Rimyongsu of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on Tuesday, host Ceres-La Salle FC of the Philippines is looking to drive harder tonight in its match against Tatung squad from Chinese Taipei at 7:30 p.m. in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President’s Cup Group B Qualifier at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.

Mayor Monico Puentevella encouraged Bacolodnons and Negrenses to come to Panaad tonight in yellow to show support to the host-team.

“Let’s come to Panaad tonight and wear yellow. Let’s show our support to our team,” he said.

Local Organizing Committee (LOC) deputy chairman Nicolas Golez said yesterday said that tickets are no longer required from those who want to watch the game live tonight at the Panaad.

“The organizing committee has decided that the stadium will be totally opened for those who want to watch except for the VIP section where we will still require tickets. This is to give opportunity for everybody to witness and support our home team,” he said.

Golez also reminded spectators to refrain from bringing unnecessary items as well as prohibited materials inside the stadium such as pointed materials like umbrellas.

Moreover, Puentevella said the city will provide a free ride for those who want to watch the games at Panaad.

Free service vehicles will park in front of Bays Center from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and will departure for Panaad at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday night, with the strength supplied by the home crowd, Ceres La-Salle held the visiting side in a 2-all draw as Juani Guirado and Patrick Reichelt provided the goals in the 10th and 49th minutes.

Prolific scoring machine Ri Kwang Hyok of DPR Korea, however, could not be contained and Ceres has to be contented with a draw after a rare blunder by keeper Michael Casas who apologized for his miscue.

Tatung, meanwhile, suffered its first loss after a scoreless debut against the stronger Halkara Türkmen-Türk Uniwersiteti FT Asgabat (HTTU Asgabat) of Turkmenistan.

Muhadov Suleyman, like Hyok, provided the goals in the 16th and 87th minute.
