Pacquiao reclaims WBO title

THIS time the judges did justice for Manny.

The scorecards were very accurate with two judges giving Pacman an identical 116-112 and the other 118-110. Yahoo Sports gave Pacquiao 117-111, unofficial but closer to what matters and is real.

Timothy Bradley Jr. was all showboating after he injured his right calf in the first round. Alibi or no alibi, the Sarangani solon simply outboxed the Desert Storm and reclaimed the WBO welterweight title he richly deserves.

Pacquiao outlanded Bradley 198-141 and connected more power punches (148) than Tim's 141 total punches. Bradley threw 627 punches but landed only 22 percent.

Bradley fought better than he did in June 9, 2012, Pacquiao was quoted, and hurt his chin but never really threatened him much. Instead of using the skills he showed against Juan Manuel Marquez in October, Bradley got into a slugfest which Manny took advantage.

Manny said Bradley was wild on the outside, so he went on the inside and did more in this fight than he did in his last fight. Pacquiao did what he had to do and the judges cooperated and did their jobs.

Bradley did hit Pacquiao some solid punches early with his green gloves but he chose to run around in the later stage. He staged a comeback in the 12th, hitting Pacquiao's eyebrow with his bald head in the last 30 seconds but did no damage and the judges know better.

Pacquiao, with 56 wins (38 by KOs), five defeats and two draws and eight world titles, is back and whether Floyd Mayweather Jr. remains elusive or not, Manny will never care.
