Monday Club 1 leads NOHS Trio Bowlfest

IT WAS Thursday but Monday Club 1 did not care.

It simply stamped its class in the opening of 2014 Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) Class '96 Trio Bowlfest with a whopping 997 pinfalls at Negros Super Lanes at Goldenfield Commercial Complex.

The team A of Monday Club rolled lines of 335-307-355 while Davies Paint scored a 968 (288-326-354) and ASSFBI settled for temporary third place with 966 on a 332-303-331 output.


Newcomer Scoop/I Mart/Chris Sports surprised themselves with a 958 good for fourth on lines of 343-319-296. The Scoopers even led the field after two matches with 662 before Henceboy Cestina, Boy Ciocon, Buddy Ferrer and Tikboy Doble succumbed to law of diminishing return falling four pinfalls below 300 in its last game.

Completing the top 10 are Retro Bowlers with 946 (285-343-318); OMJ 941 (303-309-329); ASSFBI Silverado 931 (292-323-315); HTL 919 (314-303-302); RJ Star 914 (303-297-314); and DRMB with 911 (286-355-270).

Spearheaded by Lane Thunder Duckpin Bowler's Circle of NOHS batch '96 tournament coordinator Henry James Toga and event chair alumni president Serafin Plotria Jr. expect close competition among its alumni and rated players.

Guaranteed prizes at stake is close to P20,000.

Games are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays only, with each team required a maximum of three games in 10 playing dates of the elimination round. (HGD)
