THE Vice Mayor’s League of the Philippines-Negros Occidental Chapter hosts the Pana-ad Sa Negros Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament today (Saturday, April 5) and Sunday at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.
The event is being held for the benefit of the various programs of the VMLP-NOC.
Silay City Vice Mayor Mark Golez, president of VMLP-NOC, said that through the fund-raising event, the VMLP-NOC can proceed with its continuing medical-dental mission, feeding program and related humanitarian endeavors for the less-privileged constituents of the province.
He added that the vice mayors’ league is grateful for the opportunity to highlight its annual golf tournament as part of the Pana-ad Sa Negros Festival 2014.
“The participation of our local players and the visiting enthusiasts once more gave everyone the opportunity to relish a sporting chance on the NOGCC greens,” Golez said.
He added that as president of the VMLP-NOC, he is grateful to the district representatives, provincial officials, the local chief executives of the cities and municipalities, the corporate and private business leaders, and commercial and business establishment managers who extended their wholehearted support to the undertaking.
“You have given us the best of your resources, and you have participated in an undertaking that will positively lead to the improvement of lives in more ways that we surmise,” Golez said.
