UNIVERSITY of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) battles Professionals of Bacolod (ProBac) at 6 p.m. today in the Barangay Bata Council Open Invitational basketball tournament in Bacolod City.

The Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association champion Rams will have to sharpen its horns to overcome the Probac squad quarterbacked by diminutive but lethal weapon Peewee Demonteverde.

Probac's young and sturdy professionals are not to be taken lightly as they demolish opponents by a mile if given a chance. The UNO-Rians are likewise hungry and will prove to its opponents they are best in college basketball.

Following at 7:30 p.m. is the match between Pabac and Talisay BAC as both jockey for positions in the next round.

On Sunday, Probac returns at 4 p.m. to give rookie-laden VMA Global College a fight while at 5:30 p.m., Faith Taxi tries to score a win versus Maui Huelar's Barangay 35.

Host Bata Selection will be in the main game of the tripleheader as it challenges a solid and experienced Talisaynon ball club. (HGD)
