Ceres-La Salle FC signs up 5 additional players

CERES-LA SALLE Football Club has five new members with familiar faces.

As it continues to build a stronger team in preparation for the second tier of the United Football League and other leagues ahead, Ceres-La Salle added power in forward Arnie Pasinabo Jr., Fil-Italian twins Marvin Janwer and Marwin Janver Angeles, German Kevin Umberto Capolei, and Fil-Spanish Carli de Murga, all midfielders.

Head coach Ali Bernard Go, who introduced the new members during a press conference in Bacolod City, yesterday confirmed that Ceres-LS FC is beefing up not only for the UFL tournament but also for the upcoming AFC President’s Cup in May.


Pasinabo, 28, is a former University of St. La Salle Stinger who hails from San Carlos City. He played upfront for the Green Archers United FC in the UFL’s Division 1 before slipping to the lower division during the transfer window.

The Angeles twins, born in Venice, Italy, were released by the Global FC and chose to transfer to the Bacolod-based squad.

Both former members of the national Under 23, Under 22, Under 21 teams will bring their experience playing for Laos and Global FCs in Ceres' Division 1 campaign.

Azkals’ Fil-Spanish defender Carli de Murga joined Ceres-La Salle FC after Fil-German midfielder Patrick Reichelt came on board the other week.

The 25-year-old right wingman will be a great addition for a stronger team onwards the upcoming AFC President’s Cup.

Italy-born Capolei, 26, used to play with Global FC. He will be a formidable midfielder by beefing up Ceres’ defensive alignment which will be a key for success in UFL, AFC and other higher competitions.

Also present during the contract signing were technical director Korean Cha Soung Yooung and team administrator Nicholas Golez.
