THE 2014 edition of Coca Cola Bottlers Inc./Junior PBA for children aged 13 to 16 will conduct its tryouts for the Bacolod leg on April 3, 5 and 7, commissioner Jake Azucena said.

Teams must consist of three players born 1998, three players born in 1999, three players born in 2000, and three players born in 2001.

Tryouts will be conducted from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at West Negros University gym.

Acceptance of entries, which shall not exceed 10 teams, will be on a first come, first served basis.

"No tryout, no play" according to Azucena, hence, interested schools must select their best teams as early as possible.

Deadline for submission of line-up is April 14. Tournament starts April 20 and ends May 7. The Bacolod Leg champion, together with the champions from Cebu and Iloilo, will then advance to the Visayas Regionals in Iloilo City from May 12 to 15.

The regional champion will go to the National Finals where it will compete with the titlists from Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, Mindanao and Metro Manila.

The NL Leg is comprised of Pangasinan, Pampanga and Baguio while SL has Laguna, Cavite and Batangas. The Mindanao side consists of Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga.

In-charge of Bacolod leg is Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas chief for Negros Occidental Anthony Carlo Agustin. (HGD)
