WITH the successful staging of Dynamic Football League's first conference, the second one is already set for second week of July up to
October this year, tournament chairman Andrew Infante said.

Infante said that during a consultative meeting on February 25 with coaches from Bacolod and out-of-town schools, it was decided that the Under 11 category will be added.

"So for the forthcoming tournament there will be U11 and U13 categories. There will be no U16 for the meantime to accommodate as many school teams as possible in the two age-groups,” he added.

The U11 will be played in a 7-a-side format while the U13 will follow the same 9-a-side format.

The first coaches’ meeting will be held on April 26 and the submission of line-up will be from June 16 to 19 through DFL’s website.

Registration and submission of other requirements is set on June 21 and the screening of players, on June 28 and 29.

Defending champion University of St. La Salle-Integrated School, Trinity Christian School, Don Bosco Technical Institute, Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and Andres Bonifacio Elementary School are expected to come out strong.

The La Sallians, coached by Dave Javellana, beat Ronald Allan “Cocoy” Treyes-mentored TCS, 3-1 in the first conference finals last Saturday at Panaad Park and Stadium.

The Junior Stingers survived UNO-R in a tight quarterfinal match and escaped tough Don Bosco Tecnical Institute of Victorias mentored by Raymundo Baldava in the semifinals.

Don Bosco blanked AMES, 4-nil to salvage third place.

“We can see improvement in most of the participating teams, there were no defaults or game cancellation. It was a success because of the cooperation of coaches and support of parents and school administrators,” Infante said.
