UNO-R bags Dynamic FL 2014 Under 16 title

UNIVERSITY of Negros Occidental-Recoletos captured the Under-16 Division of the 2014 Dynamic Football League by beating Don Bosco Technical Institute, 2-1 at Panaad Park last week.

John Terence Cordova scored early for UNO-R in the 22nd minute before Don Bosconian John Alfred Castaneda evened the scoreboard at one-all in the 65th minute.

Junior Ram Elijah Decena sent the ball out of keeper's gloves into the net in the 70(+4) minutes to seal the victory for the UNO-Rians.


The champions are Farley Balboa, Eduardo Ballesteros, Edward Ian Berlin, Mark Bryan Canlas, Ray Francis Cantos, Luis Clauor, John Terence Cordova, Paul Klinbert Cordova, Joshua de la Paz, Elijah Decena, Alexis Dormido, Philip Encabo, Gyles Dunlao, Daniel Mahilum, Jan Reu Mendoza, Arielle Reyes, Joelian Tupas, and Leandro Turiano.

Head coach is William Clauor with Carlo Torbela as assistant coach.

Negros Occidental High School outhit Ramon Torres National High School of Bago City in a penalty shootout, 5-4 to survive third place.

Chairman Andrew Infante, commissioners Russel Olado (U13) and Louie Yasay (U16), and AFC referee assessor Dennis Estaniel directed the tournament sponsored by Dynamic Football Club of Ricky Yanson. (HGD)
