GENESIS Servania of Bacolod City retained his WBO Intercontinental junior featherweight crown after stopping Alexander Muñoz of Venezuela in grueling 12 rounds in the Pinoy Pride XXIV "The Future is Now" at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City Saturday night.

"El Explosivo" did not explode as promised and turned into a dud as "Azukal" sweetened his body with punches knocking him down twice before scoring a TKO win in 2:22 of the last round.

"King" Arthur Villanueva of Bago City likewise triumphed with a unanimous decision over Fernando Aguilar to retain his title. Villanueva had a rough time against "Enano" who surprised the crowd as the Mexican proved a tough replacement to the "King's" original foe.

Not to be outdone, Albert Pagara of Maasin City never gave Isack Junior of Indonesia any chance to finish the distance with a stoppage after 48 seconds of the first round. The "Prince" of ALA Stable in Cebu City made Junior looked older than his age as he crumpled to his corner after a lethal left hook in the body.

Bacolod's Royroy Sumugat did not survive Mark Magsayo's powerful punch with 56 seconds gone in the sixth round. The "Magnifico" of Tagbilaran City is now 5-0 with four knockouts in the 126 pound-category while Sumugat has to be serious if he needs to come back.

Melvin Gumban of Escalante City continued his winning streak to 16 against no loss knocking out Dino Lelis of Sta. Rosa, Laguna in 1:10 of the fifth round. The fleet-footed Negrense danced his way to victory peppering the stocky opponent with well-placed body and head shots.

In other bouts, Vic Saludar of Polomolok, South Cotabato stopped Philip Luis Cuerdo of Mandaluyong City in 2:38 of the fourth round while Reymi Castellano Aleye of Cuba won a unanimous decision over Diover Mangaya-ay of Bangar, La Union.
