Retro advances lead in duckpin bowlfest

DEFENDING champion Retro solidified its lead with a 191-pinfall margin ahead of its closest rival after six rounds in the current 5th Negros Super Lanes (NSL) Non-Rated Trio Duckpin Bowlfest at the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City Tuesday night.

Retro started slow with 290 pinfalls in the first game but went on to finish the last two scoresheets with 324 and 332 outputs. Despite placing fifth in this round with 946 pinfalls, the champion bowlers in Iran Pielago, Reymund Lopez, Cero Cordova and James Toga still hold the top spot with an aggregate of 5,881 points.

Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. (ASSFBI)-Silverado headed by Cecil Silverio is in second spot with 5,690 after hitting 986 in this round while the KMH of Sonny Elegado slipped to third with 5,678 after rolling a 956.


The rest of the 12-team trio duckpin are ASSFBI II, 5,661; LJP-Bago City, 5,592; BACBA Plaza Arcade, 5,497; RJ Star, 5,441; OMJ Spinner, 5,430; Team HTL, 5,372; Dos Pares D' Lacsonian, 5,314; Grupo Retirado, 5,302; and 69ers, 5,208.

Coordinator Elorde Magbanua said prizes at stake for the top three team finishers are P7,000, champion; P5,000, first runner-up; and P3,000, second runner-up. Team finishers will be given trophies while consolation winners will get P1,500. Round 7 will resume at NSL today at 6:30 p.m. (HGD)
