THE Basketball Coaches Association of Negros (BCAN) has set its meeting with representatives of teams and clubs with 40 Up and 50 Up members at 5:30 p.m. on January 17 at Apollo Restaurant Shopping.

Bobby Tee, president of BCAN, invites those willing to participate for a meeting of minds to start a league for this age group this year.

"We expect a lot of not so old 'dark horses,' former varsitarians and professionals who love to play basketball for fitness, enjoyment, and some over 60s who still run the court to join us in this endeavor," Tee said on Saturday.

The tournament is a follow up to last year's initial 35-U Open and Employees category won both by Province of Negros Occidental.

To date, BUS Group of Bing Soyao, Judge Anastacio Rufon's 40s Club and Iloilo Pros from Iloilo City have shown interest in the tournament which will be played in a mahogany court to prevent injuries.
