Ceres-La Salle joins UFL 2nd tier-A A +A
Tuesday, January 7, 2014
CERES-LA SALLE FC is considered one of the country’s best teams after defending its 2013 PFF-Smart Club Championship title despite closing its campaign in the United Football League Cup last year up to the quarter finals.
Even with its heartbreaking 2-1 loss to the Archers, the Ceres FC remained a strong squad after beating Global FC twice in the home-and-away format Club Championship finals.
This UFL Season, Ceres will try to make another history when they join the league’s second tier alongside Manila Jeepney.
A Ceres team official, however, has yet to disclose its final roster for the tournament.
With Ceres' entry, the competition will be incredibly fierce in order to earn passage to the top spot and become a contender for promotion to the first tier.
Twelve teams will compete in a double round robin format. (HGD)
