‘Wet and wild’ party-A A +A
As I See It

IN A “Wet and Wild” Party, you go there to get wet (whatever that means) and to go wild (sometimes, very wild). There is no such thing as moderation. In my younger days, I was invited by a rich man’s son to attend a party similar to what we call now as “Wet and Wild Party.” I did not see a moderator to moderate what the party goers were doing.
We called that party “Wild Cat Chase Party.” Going to a party like that is like going to war. You are expected to fight not to dance. In that party, we were like cats. When everybody was up, we started behaving like real cats. The male cats enjoyed overdose of beer and wine. Some groups started a cat’s brawl. The music got hotter and the lights became infernal. I saw male cats chasing female cats. Pussy galore activities became prevalent.
As the party progressed, more food and wine flooded the tables. The pool side was livelier. Teenagers demonstrated snake dance while holding a bottle of beer or glass (bottle also) of wine. They were singing, cheering, shouting and after several rounds at the pool, they started to shake, rattle, and roll with the live band music. Those that have their two-piece suit (girls only) splashed at the swimming pools without minding the world. The two-piece thing was already missing.
Those who got partners stuck with their partners (and the sticking was for real). Body movements were fast especially pelvic gyrations. Those who went there without a partner started looking for one . . . boy-girl, boy- boy, and girl-girl. I also saw three-in-one, all-for-one, and one-for-all. You see I could still remember but I don’t want to call it tournament.
I want to admit that I enjoyed the party. It was just for fun. If a Mother Superior came in and interrupted the fun, then that could be a case of abortion. There was intimacy in the party despite of the early cat brawls because there was exclusivity. There were no outsiders or gate crashers. There were security guards at the gate and in some strategic areas of the compound. The parents of my friend (the host) were there also at the terrace overlooking the swimming pool with some friends (looking like parents also).
At around 1:30 a.m., the music shifted from rock to sweet. Some lights went off and the dance changed from disco to slow drag. I joined the dance floor after I requested a beautiful lady visitor, who was more of a wallflower, to dance with me before the music changed. Just like me, she was enjoying the show before the music transformed. I enjoyed the company of my partner at the dance floor. I told myself, “She is a good cat (and also beautiful). I like her fur. I don’t need to chase her.”
I think her name is Myrna. We stopped dancing when her group asked permission from the host to leave. It was almost three o’clock in the morning. I thanked Myrna for the two-hour unforgettable slow-drag dance. I wish that could have been longer. (That was my last time with Myrna. There was no cell phone yet during that time.)
I went up to the second floor bedroom assigned to me by the host. There were two other beds. Those who were assigned there did not show up until I woke up at 7:30 a.m. Probably, they slept at the pool side or in other beds. When I went down, some were still sleeping in different places and in different positions. Some girls were at the pool side looking for their two-piece things (probably lost or taken as souvenirs by some male cats).
That was my experience of a “Wild Cat Chase Party” which the now generation calls “Wet and Wild Party” or a “Weekend Wild Party.” It’s good to know that our dads at the City Council have the intention to “regulate” whatever is “wet and wild.” I cannot comment further because I have not attended (yet) the recent “wet and wild” party. The tasting is in the eating. Probably, party organizers can invite our city councilors and some government officials to join the party as participants (not as observers).
At the end of the party (after the fun), they can talk about the “preservation of the welfare and morals of the resident of the city, particularly of minors and women.” This is one serious issue to consider because even the popes (in the past) hosted parties that made the party goers wet and wild. (Our Roman Catholic now is not tolerating scandalous parties.)
Keep on doing good work councilors. I hope all parties in Bacolod and Negros will join the crusades. (I am referring to all political parties.) Churches of all denominations should also put their acts together to safeguard morality, not to stop the party. Morality and human rights should have proper balance. Good luck!
