Silay police chief, aide injured in road accident

THE police chief of Silay City, Negros Occidental and his aide were injured in a road accident at Taytay Pedrosa, Circumferential Road in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City Sunday morning.

Supeintendent Rosauro Francisco and Police Officer 1 Walter Tabilon, who was the driving the vehicle, sustained minor injuries when their Mitsubishi Strada Pick-up hit the bridge across a creek.

Senior Inspector Niel Exaltado, commander of Police Station 7, said the victims were traveling at 2 a.m. towards north of Circumferential Road.


Exaltado said Francisco reported that his Glock .22 caliber 40 pistol with two magazines went missing after the accident.

“We are still conducting further investigation,” Exaltado said.
