A WOMAN and her four-year-old daughter were found dead inside a room of a pension house at 11th Street, Barangay 7, Bacolod City Friday afternoon.

Inspector Stephen Boniba, chief of Police Station 2, said the woman was identified as Bea Cañete of Murcia town.

The woman was identified through the logbook records of Pension Bacolod.

Boniba said the incident was reported by the pension house management at around 12:30 p.m.

The girl was found on the bed with slashed wrists while her mother was found hanging inside the restroom.

The logbook showed the victims arrived at the pension house at 6:40 p.m. Thursday.

Boniba said the victims were found by a room boy who checked on them when they failed to respond to a call for a check-out at noon.

“We sought the help of the Scene of the Crime Operatives for further investigation to determine if there’s a foul play,” he said.

Radio reports said the woman, who is married to a security guard assigned in Manila, was believed to be suffering from depression.
