Teen’s motorcycle stolen

A TEENAGER lost his motorcycle to an unidentified suspect at Lopez Jaena Street, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City Saturday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Ailen James Sarmiento, 19, of Hacienda Bantug, Barangay Alangilan.

Sarmiento told the police that after he parked his Rusi 125 motorcycle along Circle Inn at Lopez Jaena Street at 5:30 p.m., an unidentified person approached him and they had a conversation for about an hour.


He said that before he entered the Circle Inn to apply for a job, the suspect asked him to leave his key and helmet to him. When he returned, his motorcycle was already missing.
The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and short pants, about 5’5” tall, and has a fair complexion.

Senior Insp. Benedicto Villarias, commander of Police Station 4, said they are still conducting follow-up operation to identify the suspect.

Meanwhile, a suspect with arrest warrant for theft was apprehended in a joint operation conducted by Police Stations 1 and 7 at Purok Kingfisher, Barangay 16, Bacolod City Thursday evening.

Police identified the suspect as Marne John Gabalejo, 34, of Purok Aguila, Barangay 16.

Inspector Elmer Bonilla, deputy commander of Police Station 7, said Gabalejo’s arrest warrant for theft was issued by Judge Karen Joy Tan-Gaston of MTCC Branch 5, Bacolod City who set his bail at P12,000.
