A BUSINESSMAN lost his cash and belongings to two unidentified men who robbed him at 24th-Gatuslao Streets, Barangay 3, Bacolod City, Monday evening.
Police identified the victim as Shi Chi Tang, 32, a resident of Miao Street 3, Hong Kong.
Tang told the police that around 8:50 p.m., he was walking in the area when the robbers onboard a motorcycle waylaid him and pointed a bladed weapon at him.
He said the suspects took his sling bag containing his passport, identification card, driver's license, bank cards, cellular phone worth P30,000, Hong Kong dollars worth P25,000, and P7,000 cash.
Inspector Stephen Boniba, officer-in-charge of Police Station 2, said they are still conducting further investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects.
Meanwhile, the police filed a robbery hold-up complaint before the City Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday against two men who held up an Indian national at Purok Riverbank, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City also on Monday.
Charged were Randy Garcia, 31, and GR Larisca, 25, both residents of Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.
Senior Inspector Benedicto Villarias, commander of Police Station 4, said the suspects were nabbed after they held up Kiranpal Kaur, 32, of Capitol Hills, Barangay Estefani. The robbers took the woman's P8,750 cash.
The money was recovered from the suspects, who are detained at the station's lock-up cell, Villarias said.
