Driver dies, 2 injured in 5-vehicle accident-A A +A

A MOTORCYCLE driver was killed while two others were injured in a road accident involving five vehicles at Margarita Street, Eroreco Subdivision in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City Friday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Mario Placencia, 39, of La Salle Avenue, Barangay Villamonte.
Injured were Donnie Galgaran, 33, and Federico Alfonso, 44.
Police Officer 2 Eliseo Adraneda Jr., traffic investigator of Police Station 3, said Alfonso, who was driving a Toyota Hi-Lux, sideswiped the Honda Civic driven by Mario Martelino, 42.
The Toyota Hi-Lux continued moving and hit the Yamaha motorcycle driven by Placencia, and Rusi motorcycle driven by Galgaran.
The two motorcycles were traveling behind the Honda Civic.
Adraneda said Placencia was dragged along with his motorcycle by the Toyota Hi-Lux and slammed into the concrete wall of the house of June Locsin, and hit the Isuzu Crosswind parked inside the compound of Locsin family.
Placencia died on the spot.
Adraneda said Galgaran was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while Alfonso was brought to Riverside Medical Center.
Martelino told the police that Alfonso was over speeding.
Adraneda said Alfonso will be charged for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide with physical injuries and damaged to properties.
