THE Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (Pace) has condemned the reported move of another group of Capitol employees to create another employees union.
Pace president Dino Gasendo revealed Thursday that the group of Niel Mapa, former director of Pace, has been conducting a smear campaign against them especially the health workers under the Provincial Government.
Gasendo said that Pace has succeeded in promoting the employees’ welfare and worked for their benefits which are the purpose of the union.
In fact, they are also working out the release of the employees’ Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive bonus, he added.
Gasendo also said that Pace is recognized by Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon as Capitol’s only employees union.
"How can we get the approval of the governor if he learns that we are not united," he said, adding that Pace also fought for the salary increase of the employees and achieved their goal.
Gasendo said the group of Mapa is misleading the Capitol employees by posting some misinformation.
Mapa refused to comment on Gasendo’s statements when asked for his reaction Thursday.
