THE bounty for fugitive former Barangay Ramon village chief Noel Ayalin is now pegged at P800,000.

Of the P800,000, P500,000. came from Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. while the remaining P300,000 came from Silay City Government.

Councilor Toto Celis, chairman of the committee on peace and order, said the City Council unanimously passed a resolution urging Mayor Jose Montelibano to appropriate P300,000 for the purpose.

Ayalin, the number one most wanted person in Western Visayas, is facing multiple murder and attempted murder cases for the massacre of four village officials of Barangay Kapitan Ramon on March 6, 2011.

The four fatalities were council members Luzviminda Cotamen, Pedrito Oroci, Freddie Juño, and Youth Council chair Imee Occeña.

Celis said he is thankful that the Provincial Government and Police Regional Office-Western Visayas (PRO-6) are doing their best to arrest Ayalin.

Any information that will lead to the capture of Ayalin will be coordinated to the proper authorities, he said. (NLG)
