CLMMRH gets ISO certificate-A A +A

THE Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City is now an International Organization for Standardization (ISO)-certified tertiary hospital.
In a program held at the hospital’s Reodica Hall Tuesday, Dr. Julius Drilon, chief of hospital, received the certificate from Kevin Castillon, business development officer and ISO auditor of Anglo-Japanese-American (AJA) Registrars Inc.
Assistant Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial said that with the ISO certification, the CLMMRH will be a model for the entire country as it is the first Department of Health (DOH) tertiary hospital in the Visayas and Mindanao to obtain such certification.
The ISO certification is good for three years.
Ubial extended the heartfelt congratulations of Health Secretary Enrique Ona to the CLMMRH. “You have set the bar higher for all the rest to follow. I was here 13 years ago or in 2001. I saw how the hospital has transformed to what it is today. Many have been assigned here and have given up. CLMMRH is the prodigal son of DOH. It has gone astray before and now you are back. We welcome you and the DOH family.”
There are eight DOH ISO-certified hospitals in Metro Manila, three in Luzon, two in the Visayas, including the CLMMRH.
Drilon said: “With this ISO certification, expect a lot of things from us. We are on the planning stage of marching towards excellence. I am really proud of working with the DOH family.”
