BACOLOD City Police seized on Thursday night methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, with an estimated value of P200,000 during a raid at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.
Four suspected drug pushers were also arrested in buy-bust operation before the raid.
Superintendent Jefferson Descallar, Special Operations Group (SOG) chief, said the four were arrested after they sold sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,500 to police poseur-buyers.
The suspects were identified as Alma Sause, 32; and her live-in partner Noel Cabugwason Jr., 32; Ma. Fe Tomias, 52; and Christian Equibal, 24; all residents of Barangay 2.
Their two companions, Angelo Diaz and Rene Diaz, however, evaded arrest.
The police also confiscated drug paraphernalia, guns and ammunition.
Descallar said the SOG is closely monitoring the rampant illegal drugs operation in Barangay 2.
“We are aiming to neutralize all the drug suspects in the said barangay,” he added.
Descallar said they are preparing the documents for the filing of charges against the suspects for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 12 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and of R.A. 10591 or illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
